The Italian Society of Mineralogy and Petrology Grant for Research in Crystal-chemistry is funded by the legacy of the late Prof. Fiorenzo Mazzi (1924-2017), an eminent Italian mineralogist and crystallographer (founder and first President of the Italian Crystallographic Association), and supports two grants per year for research projects in the field of crystal- chemistry, targeting projects in the areas of mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry and georesources.
Early career staff researchers of Italian Universities (RTDA, RTDB, PA) or other Public Research Institutions are encouraged to apply. The award selection is based on the qualifications of the applicant, and quality, innovativeness, scientific significance, and likelihood of success of the research project.
